Established in Leicestershire in 2003, Rothley Park Kindergarten is a modern children’s nursery backed by a team of highly qualified and dedicated individuals who provide a range of childcare services. Recently Rothley Park approached us to create a new, responsive website that better illustrated their facilities and the positive feedback from the families they work with on a daily basis.

The result was a bright, cheerful and most importantly, responsive design. Responsiveness is an essential requirement for modern websites, which is why we only ever build responsive sites. As Rothley Park’s previous website wasn’t responsive, a large proportion of people browsing weren’t able to view it. In contrast, the new site works automatically on all possible screen sizes.

Inspiration for the site’s design and colour scheme came from Rothley Park’s bright, fun and friendly logo. We felt that the jaunty font and colourful painted handprints embodied the spirit that we wanted to convey throughout the site. We therefore incorporated the handprints and colours of the logo into the design of pages and within features across the website.

Testimonials were made into a real feature on the new site. We included a scrolling footer that showed quotes, a set of audio testimonials and a gallery of letters and cards to demonstrate just some of the positive feedback Rothley Park receives. Two other key features are the staff profiles and virtual tour, as both of these additions help to create a more personal and open feel to the site.
