The Chartered Management Institute is the only chartered professional body in the field of management and leadership, and their mission is to increase the number and standard of professionally qualified managers. Changes to the UK’s apprenticeship system meant that CMI needed a dedicated microsite, and we entered a competitive tendering process to win this project.
After emerging successful from the tendering process, we worked closely with CMI to develop an engaging, creative campaign that was integrated across a custom-built, responsive website. Responsiveness is crucial to the success of websites as it allows them to be viewed across a multitude of devices, including mobiles, tablets and all kinds of laptop and computer screen sizes.
It was important that this new microsite didn’t resemble a standard corporate website with unoriginal campaign messages. Fortunately, CMI’s existing colour palette of black, white and bright pink already helps them to stand out from the crowd. With this as the foundation of our design, we then developed strong, intriguing campaign messages and chose subtle black and white imagery.
This microsite is packed full of bespoke features. It includes custom videos, a horizontal scrolling Pathway page and transition effects. The most complex addition to the site was the Levy Calculator - a feat of calculated coding. Enabling employers to work out the financial impact of the levy on their organisation, it is a highly useful and unique feature.
